Snapchat for Business
Language Designer — Web, Digital, Video, Social, Print
I was hired by Snapchat in 2016 to oversee all marketing copy for its newly minted advertising business. Fun fact — I’m partly the reason why “Snap Ads” are no longer called “3V.“
For the next two years, I shaped the B2B brand’s voice and tone, developed its style guide, and wrote/edited its websites, product collateral, emails, blog posts — pretty much everything.
In mid-2018, I was asked to take the lead on all things copy for Snapchat as a whole. Below, you’ll see just a sampling of the things I worked on before making the switch.
Snap for Business Website
I’ve worked on three different iterations of Snap’s advertising website. A website refresh was the last B2B project I took on before switching to consumer-facing marketing.
Outside of the website refresh, I was in charge of writing, finalizing, and maintaining all blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, product descriptions, taglines, etc.

Snap Chatter Content Series
A monthly roundup of what’s trending on Snapchat, Snap Chatter was one of my favorites to work on. Not only were these fun to write, the series helped prove to advertisers that we understand millennials and Gen Z better than any other platform.

Solutions in a Snap
Solutions in a Snap is a series of videos featuring our ad product experts. Created to educate new Snapchat advertisers, we used Snapchat’s own in-app editing tools to tell each story.
Product Messaging
When Snapchat launched its first ad products, brands and advertisers showed a lot of skepticism. Just a few years later, these ad formats became near-industry standard.
From messaging to naming the formats, I was heavily involved in deciding how our ad products went to market.
